BILATERAL COOPERATION
Nguyen Trai University (NTU), Hanoi, Vietnam and Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM- University of Applied Sciences for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises), Bielefeld, Germany are licenced to develop the educational partnership program to grant Bachelor’s Degree of “International Business Administration” according to the Decision No. 238/QĐ-BGDĐT dated 12th January 2011 by the Ministry of Education and Training.
NGUYEN TRAI UNIVERSITY
Nguyen Trai University (NTU) was established according to the Decision No.183/QĐ-TTg dated February 5th, 2008 by the Prime Minister. For initial years, priorities are given to the following majors: Finance- Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Arts and Architecture. Especially, the focus of NTU is on international cooperation and training technology transfer to grant the international degree in Vietnam. The Ministry of Education and Training permitted NTU to cooperate with Sunderland University, United Kingdom to recruit students for the international B.A program with two majors in Business Administration and Finance- Banking and with Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM), Germany with major in International Business Administration. In 2011, the Labour Development and Investment Corporation (LADECO), the investor of NTU, will start the construction work of Nguyen Trai Education Complex in Ha Dong district with area of 34ha. FACHHOCHSCHULE DES MITTELSTANDS – FHM
Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a private, non-profit and state-approved university of applied sciences in Germany. Since its foundation in 2000, FHM has developed into one of the most successful private universities in Germany. It is compared as a cradle training professional cadres and leaders to have knowledge and skills of business administration for the small and medium sized economic sector. FHM offers internationally recognized Bachelor, Master and MBA programs in Economics, Media, Communication, HR, Health and Social Work. With close cooperations with enterprises, associations and public institutes, FHM has developed and implemented the basic science training programs in graduate and postgraduate levels as well as other development and research projects. The central campus of FHM is located in the centre of Bielefeld. In addition, there are further locations in Cologne, Pulheim. FHM has additional locations in Hamburg, Hanover and Munich through its Institutes for Scientific Further Education (IWW). In addition, the FHM also runs the Institute for SME in Lippe, located in Detmold and a German-Chinese SME Institute (DCMI) in Suzhou, China with a series of projects of national and international stature that have considerably contributed for research and application works of FHM. The successful concept of the FHM includes a large focus on solution orientation and small group sizes. It helps students work together intensively, self-study, discuss together to find solutions, create products and set up projects. Outside of the university, with the network link thinking established from studying in small groups, students are also continuously supported and cared by graduated students in FHM Alumni e.V.
STUDYING IN BIELEFELD, GERMANY

The central campus of Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is located in Bielefeld city - the high-ranking economic and cultural centre of Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL). International Degree:
After graduation, students shall be granted a formal Bachelor’s Degree by FHM. With a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) from FHM, all students can continue Master’s degree programs in Germany and other countries in the world such as: USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, etc.
Comprehension of knowledge from an education with international standards and with low study expenses without going abroad
100% of educational program and process is transferred from FHM. The student enrolment, teacher recruitment, teaching, exam questions and exam papers marking are seriously performed according to the regulations of FHM.
International Education Program
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) International Business Administration of NTU and FHM provides students with a methodical business administration program that focuses on the impartation of intercultural administration knowledge based on the fact demand. The focus of this program is one year studying at FHM in Bielefeld, the West of Germany. During 12 months of study in Germany, in addition to the skills of intercultural administration, students have opportunity to improve their foreign languages, especially English for professional purposes and German for communication.
Case and solution oriented education program
During the studying process, students have chances to approach the modern studying methods of Germany with a focus on dealing with real situations. Students practise in an imitated learning environment or directly go to the businesses to visit and practise. Through the training methods closely connected with the practice, after graduation, students are able bravely and self-confidently to integrate into the dynamic international working environment.
Using fluently two languages after graduation
English is used in the lectures. Ending the first year, students shall have achieved the English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5. With this result, the quality of teaching and studying is guaranteed. Students are able to access to employment within the study period. In addition, German is a compulsory foreign language in the program. With 150 German lessons at NTU, 150 ones at FHM and one year studying in Germany, graduates can self-confidently use German in communication with partners.

In the era of growing globalization and the accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2007, Vietnam has attracted a range of foreign enterprises. In addition, domestic companies are also growing in size, quantity and create a big influence in the world market through trade relations with foreign enterprises. Before that context, the demand for leadership forces and professional staff who are equipped with intercultural skills is increasing.
Corporations, small and medium sized enterprises, foreign organizations, international associations and business branches of German companies in Vietnam shall have the opportunity to recruit graduates of the program. Because they are a team of multinational intellectuals who have International Bachelor’s degrees, proficiency of two foreign languages, knowledge of international business administration and skills of the situation solution, etc.

Facilities and equipment
The main campus of NTU is located at the 21-storey LADECO building at 266 Doi Can, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, invested by LADECO. All classrooms are equipped with international standard facilities to offer students the best condition for studying. The cable network system and Wifi ensure that students can access the high-speed internet at anytime and anywhere.
The library centre has 400 book titles and the digital library contains over 3,000 eBooks in different realms. The laboratories contain over 100 modern computers with high configuration, LCD screen and broadband internet connection.
Study environment
NTU offers students a friendly and democratic study environment. In the class, students are encouraged to express their opinions and interactively exchange with lecturers to develop independent and creative thinking.

ON WHICH CONTENTS DOES THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION FOCUS?
The program of International Business Administration focuses on 4 realms as following: economy, international business administration, individual and social knowledge, practice – solution.
ADMINISTRATION FOCUS?
The general knowledge of economy imparts to students the basic knowledge of economy and business administration, especially the knowledge of business running, marketing and sales, accounting, finance, economic law and mathematics / statistics. The bilingual teaching shall be used for the knowledge of international business administration to ensure international orientation for this program. For the knowledge of individual and society, in addition to academic English for international business administration, students are also trained key skills such as team management, presentation and moderation. The focus is intercultural communication to help students have sensitivity to customs and cultural characteristics of each country and help students raise awareness of communication method in the spirit of mutual understanding in the international environment.
For the knowledge of practice- solution, students are trained according to the study method oriented on case and solution that helps students comprehend behavior experience and solve the situation in reality.
